Hi everyone,
This years Hamfest is shaping up to be the best one we've had in several years with more vendors, more prizes, more demonstrations, and of course our Santa Barbara Tri-tip BBQ.
Our main prize is one of the best we have ever offered: an KCOM IC-7000 HF to 70 CM All Mode Transceiver.
Secondary Prizes include the Kenwood TH-F6A 2M/220/440 HT, Yaesu FT-1802M 50W 2M Mobile, Garmin Mini GPS Receiver, and a lot more.
Demonstrations and activities will include the ARES van, Rover van, HF Mobile vehicles, ATV, Transmitter hunting, games, and more.
Vendors in the swap area include:
Avanti Activeware (personalized mugs, hats, etc.) Ham Radio Outlet Wired Communications (a great selection of cables, adapters, etc.) Aventrade (LED Flashlights, batteries, etc.) Bill Gross of SBARC with a *great* selection of items donated to SBARC John Huurst, KU6X KE6HTS/WB6EYV (transmitter hunting supplies/equipment) Simi Settlers ARC Mario Ularte, NM6U Randy Strader, KE6JQT Paul Andreasen, K1JAN Alex McDougall
and there will be a special "Make Offer" table
Our Santa Barbara Style Tri-tip BBQ is known as one of the best, and this year, the Elks cook crew lead by Leroy Jeffers, KA6JWO, will be preparing and cooking the BBQ. The Elks cook crew are also available for other events with all monies raised going to charity.
The swap area will start getting active around 8:00AM with other activities starting around 9:00AM.
I hope you can join us this year and be a part of making this a great event!
Thanks!!!
Marvin, KE6HTS
