The next 2 Meter ARDF meet is scheduled for Saturday, December 7th at Wildwood Park in Thousand Oaks. This hunt is being put on by Dean Dods, KD6I. We will gather down there about noon with one practice T on the air, and the real hunt will start at 1:00 PM. There will be a $1.00 charge for the map. I'll be leaving SB around 10:30, and anyone who wants to carpool is welcome to come with me. Several of us usually gather for an early dinner after the hunt, so we will probably get back to SB around 7:00 PM.

I am also putting on an ARDF meet at Vermont Canyon (Griffith Park area) on Sunday, January 12th that will be sponsored by the Los Angeles Orienteering Club (LAOC). There will be an entry fee of $4.00 for LAOC members, and $6.00 for non-members. A regular full color Orienteering map will be provided to all competitors. Besides the ARDF meet, we plan on several Beginners Courses (White and Yellow, possibly Orange). LAOC policy is to not charge for additional courses unless another map is needed. Registration will open at 9:30 AM with the first start time at 10:00 AM, start times ending at noon, and the course will close at 3:00 PM. A training session is tentatively planned at 9:00 AM. More details will be forthcoming as soon as they are available.
