The rain stopped, the sun came out, and I went to work on the antennas that crashed last month. Just when I thought I had my antennas reconstructed....Murphy shows up. How does he always find me? I need to replace a 2-1/8 inch U bolt. The local hardware stores, including Home Depot, have 2 and 2-1/2 inch, but not 2-1/8. Does anybody have any suggestions? Please? MNI TNX & 73 de Paul, W1PR
You might try Specialty Tool out in Goleta. They have an incredible selection of hardware and might well have this size.

1. Try a muffler shop. they have a wide variety of U-bolts.
2. A 2-inch is likely to be springy enough to fit 2 1/8 hole spacing with slight persuasion.
3. Buy some allthread of the appropriate diameter and thread, and bend it to fit.
