Hi everyone!!!

Just a reminder that we will have a Hamfest Planning Meeting tonight at Rusty's on Upper State Street next to Burger King. We will start at 6:30 PM, and should be finished by 8:00 PM.

This will probably be the last meeting of this type for a while. I would have loved to have more people attending and involved in the process, but that isn't happening. And if something doesn't work, change it :). Putting on a great event of any type requires dedicated people, and getting those people is my main goal at this point.

I'll have a summary tonight of what has been discussed in past meetings and discussions as well as what I see the basic format for the Hamfest. What we now need are people willing and able to take charge of a particular aspect of Hamfest, and run with it to make it happen. This will be a fairly small team of people, and if you would like to be a part of that team, you NEED to be there tonight.

If you aren't subscribed to the SBARC Listserver, I posted a link earlier to a new service offered by Google called Google Moderator. The link below to a question I started allows people to post questions and opinions about What Makes a GREAT Hamfest. It is not a discussion group, but a place where questions and opionions can be entered. Additionally, each question/opinion can be graded so that the top ranked questions/opinions will move to the top of the list. If you can't be there tonight but would still like some input, please post your opinions at the new link. Additionally, please only post ONE comment/question/opinion per posting; that makes the grading or voting on your post possible.
