There's a lot going on in the Southwestern Division this Fall. Here's an update on some of the major events:
The TRW Swap Meet normally held on the last Saturday of the month is cancelled for September only. More info at: www.w6trw.com Things will be back to normal in October according to Duane Park, WA6EIK, TRW Swapmeet Staff.
To fill the void, several clubs have joined to sponsor a Swap and B-B-Q Fest at Arroyo Verde Park in Ventura, 9AM to 4PM on Saturday, Sept 28. More info from: Stewart, KG6BOV, 805-488-7388.
If you still need your monthly dose of Swapmeets, don't forget the El Cajon ARC Swapmeet on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays at the Santee Drive-In Theater, Woodside Ave at Hwy 67 in Santee, CA; The Inland Empire ARC Swapmeet held on the 2nd Saturday of each month at the A B Miller High School, 6821 Oleander Ave in Fontana, CA; and the CMRA Swapmeet on the 3rd Saturday of each month at Cal Poly Pomona, 3801 W Temple Ave, Pomona. Swap till you drop!
This Saturday, Sept 21, is the date for the Hualapai ARC Fallfest at Mojave Community College, 1971 Jagerston Ave, Kingman, AZ. More info at www.qsl.net/harc-az Get there at sunrise!
And don't miss the Western States VHF/UHF and Microwave Conference, October 11-13 at the Sheraton Cerritos Hotel at Towne Center, 12725 Center Court Dr, Cerritos. Here's an update on the Thunderbird ARC Westfest being held on Saturday, Jan 11, 2003 at the Glendale Community College in Phoenix. Updated points of contact are Steve, W1ADW, 623-521-1036 or Bruce, WB7SRC, 623-486-8735. These folks run a clean show, no firearms, alcohol or drugs permitted.
