It is with deep sadness that I report the untimely death of Chester E. Hadley, KF6OIF. Chet arose from his bed early this morning feeling strangely, and his wife immediately called 9-1-1. He collapsed shortly thereafter, and the paramedics were unable to revive him.

Chet just turned age 62, and was an active Ham holding a General Class license. He retired from the Air Force in 1984 as a Reserve Major. One of Chet's primary contributions to Amateur Radio was his expert handling of messages in the NTS.

Ray Lischka, W9EC, is a neighbor and close friend of the Hadley family. Ray will provide further information about services and remembrances in the days ahead. Please remember Chet and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
