Possibly starting 12-midnight EST tonight (8/13). If so, we'll be on the "edge" or right in it depending on whose "model" you want to believe. Supposedly a CAT 3 hurricane if it reaches Jacksonville, FL.
Wish us luck!

Hello!
I am monitoring the reflector and, just five minutes ago, they announced that it has been upgraded to a Cat *4* hurricane. Are you within the path?

I received the following notice about one of the IRLP
reflectors being used
for emergency Hurricane Charley traffic. I connected to
it, and listened to
the network traffic. The node is 9210. You'll need to wait between transmissions before dropping the link with "73". Remember to avoid transmitting while connected.

Please advise your users:
Ref9210 is currently being used by the areas affected by Hurricane Charley for EMERGENCY TRAFFIC ONLY. You can listen by following a link on http://www.voipwx.net/ . If you are outside of the
affected
area and want to listen but don't have access to http://www.voipwx.net/ , you may connect to ref9210 but
please DO NOT
interfere with the emergency net by transmitting your callsign or inquiring about conditions, even if you do not hear traffic
after you
connect.
Thank you.
