Thanks Jay! I'm convinced it is a meshtastic node, and now I want to build a few and give Meshtastic a try. Someone created this map of the nodes for the US. https://meshmap.net/
I'm going to ask the SOTA guy exactly where the node was that he found.
BTW Jay, your name is familiar. I want to say it was from rain.org days. Were you with rain back in the day?
