These µField Day events were started by The BORED Net and is a great way to hang out with a bunch of other hams, blow the dust off your equipment, and get more experience with your equipment in a portable setting. All hams are invited. Previous locations have been Lake Sherwood near Westlake, Rancho Potrero in Newbury Park, and CSUCI campus. One of the events had 16 HF rigs operating!
The BORED Net µField Days are also a great opportunity for newer hams to see different setups in use, or to bring their own equipment for help. They're open to everyone in the county, from all clubs (or not affiliated with any club), licensed or just interested.
AC power, a bathroom, and "Fire and ice" will be provided (a BBQ pit and ice), so bring something to grill for yourself.
