As many of you are aware, the SW Division Director N6AA was censured (in my opinion very unfairly) purportedly in regard to his remarks at the 2017 Visalia DX Convention. This was due to a discussion at the ARRL forum about the recently and stealthily adopted ARRL board of Directors code of conduct which severely limits what ARRL Directors can share with membership about Board decisions.
Other underlying issues are ARRL's actions with regard to NTS and the language of the Amateur Radio Parity Act for which ARRL has been lobbying. This has been interpreted to be in favor of HOAs and severely limiting with regard to amateurs' ability to put up antennas in HOA communities.
Documents showing the toxic atmosphere at ARRL HQ and the ongoing tactics of the E&E committee to disqualify candidates with dissenting views have been made available at http://kkn.net/n6aa/arrlcensure/ .
All five districts open for election have contested elections this year with challengers calling for more transparency and openness on the part of the ARRL Board. For what it's worth, I'm on the side of N6AA and the challengers.
