Darryl, that was a beautiful eulogy to a kindred soul, one-of-a-kind, and one helluva guy, from any standpoint. I got to know Reg when Carmen and I were driving through Santa Monica a couple of years ago. Ahead of us was a van with Ham plates, a familiar call, KE6ZQY. So, I keyed up my mike, on 147.090 as I recall, and he came right back to me. When I told him I had him in my sights, he pulled over to the curb and we got to know each other. He, and my XYL, Carmen, had both been to the VA's Wadsworth hospital, and it was evident that Reg's visit was for something pretty serious. Nonetheless, he uttered not one word of complaint. Took it in stride, despite the evident fact that he was in real pain. The mark of the man. We will miss him, and there won't be another like him, for they threw the mold away when Reg was born. So, 73 and SK to you, "Leroy". Happy hamming, up there beyond the ionosphere, where all good Hams end up, At Play in The Fields of The Lord.
