FYI from a newsgroup:
"There were many ham nets up yesterday. LA DCS, LAFD ACS, DARN (ARES) etc. You can look up DCS, ACS DARN on the web for info and freqs. I did not see it but heard KNBC even stated yesterday when all the cell networks went down, that ham radio was still working.
When all else fails, ham radio still works."
