Just when you thought that “ the self-appointed town crier” of scheduled vhf/uhf events had forgotten to let Ventura Co. hams know about the next one, here it is!
The Fall VHF/UHF SPRINTS, sponsored by the SouthEastVhfOrganization, will be held over the next few weeks.
Designed to use 1 band only per evening each week, they are a great opportunity to get on the air for a short time. Most people only operate for the first hour or so in order that they can perform honey-dos for the rest of the evening, walk the dog, or operate FT8 on HF.
The first SPRINT will be held on Monday, beginning at 7 pm pdt. 2 meters will be the band this time.
Serious participants will open up the pdf for complete rules and scheduling of the SPRINTS.
See you all on 144.200mhz usb, 146.52mhz fm simplex, or 144.174mhz ft-8 when I get on the air from 7pm to ~~8pm.
