unusual U=bolt size

The rain stopped, the sun came out, and I went to work on the antennas that crashed last month. Just when I thought I had my antennas reconstructed....Murphy shows up. How does he always find me? I need to replace a 2-1/8 inch U bolt. The local hardware stores, including Home Depot, have 2 and 2-1/2 inch, but not 2-1/8. Does anybody have any suggestions? Please? MNI TNX & 73 de Paul, W1PR

Friday Night SBARC Meeting

Hi everyone, This Friday night will be the first club meeting of the new year. As most of you are aware, SBARC has a working IRLP node (3673) that was put into operation towards the end of 2004. Many people helped, but Thorsten Von Eicken, KG6VRT, was the person who finally got the software working and integrated with the hardware. This can be a tremdous communication tool since the SBARC 440 MHz repeater can now be reached from anywhere in the world that has an IRLP node. Our speaker this month will be Lonnie Bland, N6RBR. Lonnie has been working with IRLP and is the hardware person for the WALA net. Lonnie is *very* knowledgeable about how IRLP works and has given talks throughout Southern California. As an incentive to start using IRLP, our main door prize will be a new Alinco 440 HT with a touchtone pad. Also new with SBARC is an ENG (Electronic News Gathering) vehicle and you can see a description of the vehicle on Steve Hammer's website at http://k6sgh.com/ENG/eng.htm. It was picked up today and will be on display at the club meeting Friday night. When - Friday, January 21, 2005 Time - 7:30 PM (Doors open at 6:45!) Where - Goleta Union Schools Admin. Board Room 401 N. Fairview Ave., Goleta And it would be much appreciated if you could bring along some cookies/brownies/etc. for the break. Other activities for the meeting include the Free-to-good-home table where you can put those things you don't want but are too good to toss. Sunday at Santa Barbara City College

Hi folks, On Sunday, 16 January at 2 p.m. we're going to do a Human Flag at La Playa Stadium at Santa Barbara City College. Bring a White and a Red shirt, jacket, or sweatshirt. We'll be doing a Red Cross on a White background and a Red Heart on a White background. This is part of a fundraiser for the International Response Fund for Tsunami relief and for the Disaster Response Fund for the victims of flooding and landslides in California, Colorado, Ohio River etc. We need about 5000 people to pull this off, so please forward to as many folks as you can. If you would like to help volunteer to setup, you can get there at Noon. Thank you! That may be true.
