Navajo Amateur Radio Club Special Event!

Hi Everyone, This comes from the KQ2H Yahoo group. Please feel free to pass this message along to friends you know that might find it of interest. Thank you! Alan...N6HPO Folks, The Navajo Amateur Radio Club of Window Rock, Arizona is sponsoring a Special Events station on the weekend of August 14-15. They will be operating under the Special Event call sign of K7B on 14.265 Mhz and 7.265 Mhz from 1400Z to 0000Z each day. Hamfest Registration Update

Well, once again, hams make great canaries - someone just pointed out a feature of the registration system that I hadn't tried. If you enter a spouse/guest name, it brings up a second opportunity to order items! So the list and packages have been modified for the on-line system - you now order first for yourself, and if you enter a spouse/guest name, you get to order separately for them. If you (heartlessly) don't want to order anything for your spouse or guest, then don't enter their name(s)! Everything else is working nicely :-) Michael W7HUT

Hamfest 2010 - 90th Anniversary & Family Reunion for SBARC

Hamfest 2010 is just 5 weeks from today! This year we are celebrating SBARC's 90th anniversary and looking for a huge family reunion! This year we are also the official ARRL Santa Barbara Section Meeting You can now go online at www.sbarc.org, click the Register Online button and find a host of choices. This year we are using a new events management program from Constant Contact, which allows you to register and pay online and collects all of the pertinent data for us to be able to manage attendance at the event. It's a great system, but only allows you to select one item per registration, so we have created a series of packages, which should meet everyone's needs. If you don't like online purchasing or want to buy more raffle tickets or additional packages, just fill out and mail in the attached flyer. Or, you can always buy more at the door on August 14th. SBARC ISS CONTACT N6KTH (11 MINUTES) On August 19, 2008, Ken Owen N6KTH and numerous SBARC and Boy Scout participants contacted the International Space Station from the UCSB campus near Santa Barbara, California. Rod Fritz WB9KMO and Michael Barber W6MRB recorded the video. VIDEO STREAMING - Our technical problems are resolved (we think). We're trying to stream again tonight. If that doesn't work well for you, watch VIDEO ON DEMAND or VIDEO DOWNLOAD instead.
