I got a call from Chuck Stersic, N6CJL (expired license) this afternoon, and he let me know is wife, Avon, had passed away last week.
I doubt many current SBARC members will know, let alone remember either of them. He was a member of the Elks, and helped SBARC a number of times get the use of the Elks grove and parking lot for the SBARC Hamfest. After Avon moved up to the Fresno area, Chuck stayed here for a few years before joining here.
Thank you. I remember them fondly and missed Chuck’s happy smile!
