Subject: Sponsorship T-shirts
Perry Dahn has negotiated a very beneficial sponsor monetization tool (see
below email) on behalf of Wings over Camarillo 2022 and you
You will receive a volunteer T-shirt in conjunction with your regular
volunteer hat. The T-shirts will display the sponsor’s name and the
sponsor’s branding. Your job, if you choose, is to enjoy wearing the
T-shirt in front of the paying 2022 airshow guests. This is a win for all!
Hence, what you need to do, if you choose, is to forward your T-shirt size
i.e., S-M-L, etc. to Perry Dahm at perry(a)dahmcpa.com
Instructions for T-shirt retrieval will be forthcoming.

Subject: Volunteer T-Shirts
Channel Islands Aviation is the T-Shirt Sponsor of the Air Show this year.
Now, nobody really knew what that meant, because we haven't had one
before. The sponsor brochure says, "Your company name and logo on an
exclusive Wings Over Camarillo T-Shirt worn by 400 airshow volunteers in
front of 25,000 air show guests over the 2-day weekend."
So, guess what, we are going to have T-Shirts and hats for the volunteers
this year. We need to get T-Shirt sizes for all the volunteers as they
sign up. I don't know what that entails for your software, but we need it
so that I can order the shirts.
Let me know what we need to do.

The FCC announced recently that it has retired the legacy CORES system and is instructing licensees to migrate to a new email-account-based system. The ARRL Letter today discusses this.
Has anyone tried migrating their FRN over to the new FCC CORES system? I didn't have any issues creating the new email/username-based account and associating my FRN. However, I can't seem to do much else. What is the system supposed to do? It looks like most of the functions that I would ever need to use – like renewing a license or changing my address – remain in the FRN-account-based ULS anyway. And that system is still accessible, as of today.

Sorry for the delay in setting up the volunteer registration, I had to deal
with a confluence of health and technical issues.
2022 Wings Over Camarillo
I have not heard anything to the contrary, so I assume that everything will
be the same, i.e. free entrance to the show, parking, hat, pancake
breakfast, lunch, and all the water and soft drinks you can drink
Stroll through the show and provide eyes/ears/comms
Same as last year, we have the show director shadow, which should be a
very exciting close-up assignment, you will have two radios: a commercial
show radio and your ham radio. The Shadow will follow the show director and
provide communication support. You are welcome to sign up for two
consecutive Shadow shifts and stay with the show director for the entire
Unless you are stationed at the comm trailer, plan on a lot of walking for
four hours in the hot August sun.

The instructions on the signup site are "generic", most do not apply to us,

assignment if you cannot walk in the hot August sun.

not both AM or PM shifts, note that I disabled "overlap check" since

*NOTE: *the "gate" position can be an "add on" assignment for a color or a

to check-in ham volunteers, then over to the comm trailer for the briefing
and to your primary assignment
3- Scroll down to the bottom or the form
4- Fill in your email, name, phone
5- The *call sign* field should automagically show up after you check a
