Hi All -
I am cleaning out my equipment stash and it's time to get rid of an old
HeathKit TC-1 Dynamic Tube Checker. I am hoping that someone out there
is a collector or can actually use this thing. I've had it since High
School - 1959 +/-
I also have a small box - about 10"x10" of used vacuum tubes that I need
to get rid of also.
Here is a pic of the checker:
While I'm at it, I have a Hellicrafter S-40A receiver that needs to be
restored. Does anyone out there know of anyone that does that kind of
work? I hate to get rid of it but I may if I cannot get it working
again. I've had this radio before I acquired the above tube
checker/tester!
Thanks es 73 to all .

Here it is in text form.
REPEATER TECH NOTES
Star 911 Emergency 911
Star 912 City Dispatch No Emergency
Star 913 CHP Dispatch Ventura
Star 914 County Dispatch No Emergency
Star 915 UCSB Police Dispatch
Star 916 US Coast Guard Long Beach
Star 917 SB Harbor Masters Office
Star 918 AAA Auto Club
Star 919 WWV Time Check
Star 910 US Forest Service Dispatch
* SBARC Repeaters on 146.790 and 224.120 MHz support an Emergency
Auto-Dial system. Both systems emulate each other with one exception.
Emergency 911 on the 146.790 system will go to the City of Santa Barbara
Dispatch and Emergency 911 on the 224.12 repeater will go to County
Dispatch.
* 911 calls to County and City Dispatch know your location as a hilltop.
If you ask to be transferred from County to City Dispatch or City to
County Dispatch is discretionary by Dispatch and may not be granted.
Non-Emergency Auto-Dial numbers for City and County may not immediately
respond if Dispatch is fully engaged with 911 calls.
* The phone line at the La Vigia Hill site is shared between the 146.790
and 446.400 repeaters. The phone line at Santa Ynez Peak is shared
between the 224.120 and 145.180 repeaters. Both 446.400 and 145.180
repeater controllers will be taken off the phone line until
reconfiguring of their respective controllers is completed. If phone
calls are heard on either repeater it is for test use only.
* All Emergency Auto-Dial operations are 24/7 with one exception. The
City Harbor Masters office is a 7 day week 8 hour daytime business
operation. If they do not answer the phone then call 911 for any harbor
emergency.
* All Emergency Auto-Dial calls to CHP from either repeater will go
direct to CHP Dispatch which is located in Ventura. CHP does not know
where you are calling from so be prepared to tell them your location and
explain that you are using a two-way radio. Be aware that forwarding of
your call or report by CHP to either City or County Dispatch is
discretionary and may not be granted.
* Testing any Emergency Auto-Dial number is not recommended with the one
exception of WWV. WWV Time Check at Fort Collins is available for this
purpose.
* Various timers on the Emergency Auto-Dialer are disabled. Executing an
on-hook command is necessary to release the line.

SBARC maintains two phones which are tied to our local repeaters. In
recent years the use of auto-patch calls has dramatically been
reduced due to the influx of cell phones. However, the Board still
supports the cost of the monthly recurring phone bill's as a service
to the Amateur Radio community. As a reminder, speed dial numbers are
available for use. Contact the system user representative listed in
Key-Klix for more information.
Enclosed pdf document, Repeater Tech Notes, specifically relates to
the functions available under Emergency Auto-Dial numbers supported
by the two systems. There are a few subtle changes to this listing in
contrast to prior years.

Hi everyone!
Tomorrow, Saturday December 6th from 8AM to noon, I'll be holding a garage sale
to see if I can reduce the amount of "stuff" here. This will be similar to a
moving sale ... moving from my garage to yours :). To many things to list, but a
lot of it will be Bazaar type stuff and a sampling will include things like
shrink tubing, oscilloscopes (probably non-working), hand tools, air nailer,
blank rack panels ($1.00/RU), helicoil inserts, a couple of 19" or so color CRT
monitors, industrial temp controllers, computer games, books, etc., etc., etc.
Household type stuff will include skis, ski clothing, some cookware, magazines,
some ebay type stuff that I refuse to list there, glassware, and other such
stuff.
My address is 408 Grove Lane, Santa Barbara, 93105.
Thanks!
