Jug makes a good point! A deadline should be a well defined "line". So
let's make the July Key-Klix "Deadline" 11:59 PM on Monday the 28th for
all submission OTHER THAN Field Day articles and digital photos. The
deadline for FD stuff is Wednesday the 30th at 12 (High) Noon! That is
all the time I can give up as the finished edited Product must go the
printer on Friday!
I can meet MY deadline if I can get most of the submissions early - very
early if possible. So please get them to me ASAP and I can have the
July issue well on its way by Wednesday the 30th! Thanks for your help.

Subject: Re: [Sbarc-list] Key-Klix Deadline
Hi Dennis,
I may just look at things differently but it might be nice to say
at what time during a given day you would expect things. If people
get off work and do the work in the evening, it would be nice to
know how late they can go !!!

Because the normal Key-Klix deadline is the Monday before the first
Friday of the month it doesn't leave much time to submit timely articles
about Field Day 2004! So I am extending the deadline for Field Day
articles and pictures to Tuesday the 29th. The extra day should help
those tired and weary Field Day folks! This still gives me enough time
to get the July issue over to the printer in time - I hope!!!

Hi All -
Next Monday (28th) is the Key-Klix deadline and I will be the editor for
July. Ina and I have traded months so please send me your submissions
for the July issue.

ATVSIG,
The ATV repeater is back on the air and the transmitter is working as well
as ever. Please send me reception reports. The ATN receive link from Orange
County is working fine, but the transmit link is still being worked on. The
SSTV repeater on 145.75 is still being rebuilt. We intend all to be in good
working order in time for the Field Day event.
I still have conflicts with the Tuesday night ATV Net timing, so will be
unable to run the net until mid-July. If you want to become active in ATV
or SSTV, feel free to send me an email or give me a call. I'd be glad to
help you.

SBARC Members
SBARC will participate in Field Day June 25 to June 27.
The location is Elings Park. See the Field Day Page on www.sbarc.org for directions to the site.
The schedule is :
Setup Friday, June 25 starting at noon and ending with pizza and other goodies.
Operate Saturday, June 26 11:00 AM until Sunday, June 27 11:00 AM.
Teardown and Celebration Picnic Sunday afternoon.
We will have a planning dinner meeting Friday, June 11 at the Turnpike IHOP.
The no host (u-pay) dinner will begin at 6:30 PM.
If you cannot make the 6:30 time or you have other dinner plans, you are welcome to join us later.
All SBARC members, family, and future members are welcome to attend the planning meeting.
Also, all SBARC members are welcome to participate in Field Day Activities.
SBARC has done well in Field Day by placing sixth in the 3A category last year and seventh the year before. We also welcome hams that have never been on the air before or have not had any contest experience. One of the missions of Field Day is training operators and improving skills. Elings Park is a great place to do it. It is easy to get to and has great views of the mountains, city, and ocean but with great radio propagation and away from power lines. Members are welcome to picnic and camp there.
For more information, please email me at n6yx(a)sbarc.org.
