Lucky there wasn't ham radio, I bet those carbon arc lights were pretty noisy electrically, not to mention blinding bright.

Strange they claim it is coal fired when they show a drawing with an oil tank and pipeline, though they do show a small part of a building labeled coal.  Perhaps it was a dual fuel system?
