Not a new type, actually, both exist.  They are both double shielded silver
plated with PTFE dialectric (if you get the mil spec type).  The only
difference I'm aware of is that the RG-214 is larger diameter than the
RG-142 and I'd pulled the wrong number from my notes.  I could use either,
but prefer the smaller diameter for flexibility (and possibly better
availability and possibly lower cost of connectors).

I looked into factory made but most vendors don't have the lengths I want
so it becomes custom and with RG-214 prices were all $100 per assembly from
just about any source.  Now that I am searching for RG-142 (instead) the
price has gone down more than half so perhaps I'll order custom.  Wayne -
would like to know where you've gotten in past, if you have had success
with them.
