Program for our September gathering
Net Energy Metering -- How you, too, can sell energy to the power
company
Guest Speaker, Laura Rudison of the
Southern California Edison Co., will travel to Goleta from Edison's head office
in Rosemead to explain to SBARC members and the public how they can get involved
with energy coming from and going to the power company. Forty years with Edison
has led Ms. Rudison to the positions where she has had responsibility for developing, implementing,
administering, and managing the utility’s Net Energy Metering
Program. You won't want to
miss this!
The Santa Barbara Amateur Radio Club holds its meetings at the
Goleta Union School District at 401 North Fairview Avenue in Goleta, right
across the street from the Goleta Library. The meeting begins at 7:30 pm and all
are welcome.

This Friday night, September 17, 2010, the Santa Barbara Amateur
Radio Club will celebrate its first monthly meeting since May! Yes, summer has
been fun but starting up our monthly club meetings will be even more fun. Don't
miss a single one of them. And for sure, don't miss this one. The program for
the evening promises to be a knock-'em-dead presentation on how you, too, can
get on the band wagon of seriously reducing the size of your electric bill and
possibly making money at the same time.
As usual, you can look forward to our "free-to-good-home" table
where you may take all you want and even add to the heap by emptying your shack
of old stuff. Your spouse will love you for it. And don't forget that we get
hungry and thirsty after good meetings and crave coffee, doughnuts, cookies,
cakes, soft drinks and even more. Please help out by bringing some of that.

Our monthly club meetings always present great opportunities to
shake some hands of folks we haven't seen for a while. The meeting begins at
7:30 pm but most folks come earlier to hang around and chat. Maybe you can bring
someone with you. Maybe you can bring some Junque. (Please take home the
things you brought that no one took.)
