Hi Alan,

There is another SBARC repeater linked into the net, on 224.08, which is on La Cumbre Peak.  This is the repeater I normally use, as it is easy to reach on my handheld.

During the nets, between transmissions, I sometimes hear other conversations going on, deep in the noise.  I believe the signal is coming in on 224.08.  I checked the ARTSCI database, and found that the JPL ARC (WR6JPL) has a repeater on this frequency in Sylmar, near Pasadena.  The PL they have listed on the web is 156.7, however it's possible they are now using 127.3.

Therefore, I wonder whether this is the repeater you heard.

This last Thursday on the "Technical Elmering Net", I distinctly heard the automated repeater I.D. note that the PL was "...127.3". With our "talk-over", I was unable to get the callsign of said repeater.
