I was just informed that a memorial meeting in memory of Silent Key of Bill Lake, WB6JRI, will be organized by Spacek Labs.Inc,  on Friday, May 22nd,2009, at 2:30 PM at Ledbetter Beach.

Also, the Astronomy Unit has the Friday meeting on May 1st, 7:30 PM, SB Museum of Natural History, with a lecture of a NASA researcher about the search of exoplanets.
 
Saturday, May 2nd, is our annual Astronomy Day, 10:0 AM to 10:00 PM, at the SBMNH, too. The public is welcome to see our members' telescopes, radio telescopes, and much fun!  Free admission for anyone, kids extremely welcome; there will be also a raffle, and the young winner will take home a modern telescope!
