Hello All,

This coming weekend, August 7th and 8th, the ARRL UHF Contest occurs from 1800Z (11:00 a.m.) Saturday to 1800Z Sunday on bands 222 MHz and higher. Here is the ARRL link for more info: http://www.arrl.org/news/the-bands-heat-up-for-the-2010-arrl-uhf-contest

If you monitor 223.500 MHz, 446.000 MHz and/or the 1294.500 MHz calling frequencies, just answer any call you hear with your current "grid square"; if you can mount an outdoor antenna for any or all of these freq's, all the better!

With the solar CME that occurred this past Sunday morning, I am unsure just how the incoming [400 Km per/sec] ionized solar wind will affect propagation in the upper bands. The solar wind is destined to collide with our atmosphere sometime this Wednesday.

Best 73!
