SBARC Members,

Field Day is Saturday, June 23 to Sunday, June 24.   The location is the Christ Lutheran Church field near the corner of Los Carneros and Covington Way.  This is the same location that we had last year.  It is just north of the Stow House parking lot. 

SBARC will have two HF stations located in the Communications Van and the Rover.  One station will be primarily phone, the other will be primarily CW.  Setup will be very easy since we use the club’s vehicles.  Setup will begin Friday afternoon at 1 PM.

If you are interested in operating during Field Day, please indicate your mode (CW or phone) and first and second choice from the schedule below.  Operators are scheduled in two hour shifts.  Two or more operators during a shift is encouraged so that one person can log while another operates. 

Shifts are :

            Saturday           11 am – 1 pm

                                     1 pm –  3 pm

                                     3 pm –  5 pm

                                     5 pm -   7 pm

                                     7 pm -   9 pm

                                     9 pm – 11 pm

            Night                 11 pm -  5  am

            Sunday             5 am -   7 am

                                     7 am –  9 am

                                     9 am  - 11 am

The SSB Phone station will use a Yaesu Mark V in the Rover.  We have worked on the Rover to permit ‘silent’ operation mode using battery power.  The Mark V has a roofing filter and voice memory keyer to make it easier to operate.

Everyone is invited to the Field Day Potluck BBQ at 3 pm Sunday.  The club provides hamburgers, hot dogs, and soda.
