I went and visited Denney from the VCARC group today as he has the same radio.  My radio is definitely different than his in the squelch arena.
I was planning on sending my radio in anyways, but I'm happy that I've confirmed that mine isn't right.  I'd hate to send it in only to get it back to find nothing changed.
