I agree with Ken. I don’t think you can remove a post since they were already delivered to list members. This thread should be enough to let people know he is still in business. Some list operators used to archive their list posts/threads on mail-archive.net but I don’t know if that is a thing anymore. It was handy because it was searchable and new people could catch up on threads created before their time.
