I have just learned that Cliff Buttschardt, K7RR, passed away peacefully early Sunday, July 30th. Cliff was a long time friend of SBARC and Amateurs throughout the world. He had been in treatment for esophageal cancer for the past year or so, but remained active in all his pursuits. He was very active in AMSAT since it's early years and for the past 6 years was a mentor to many students at Cuesta College and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with the CubeSat program

A frequent visitor to SBARC club meetings and Hamfests, he will be missed, both in the crowd and behind the mic. May he rest in peace.
