Getting email from yahoo online works but doesn’t allow one to use it conveniently. I set up email to connect my existing mail program to yahoo after getting help from yahoo. It now works like cox. Important settings are ports.
IMAP 993
SMTP 587.

Hi Bill

I had the same issue.   I did use Tbird to save the address book as .csv files then import to the Yahoo email.  Some of them transferred but not all.
Yes Cox threw us all under the bus (again).  Also succeeded in setting up the iphone Mail to yahoo.  But could not get Tbird to work with the new provider.  It was confused by using the old email address as the new username.

I tried, gave up, and am slowly adapting to the Yahoo email interface. :(

When using Cox Cable my email program was Thunderbird. Did not have any problems with Thunderbird. Since Cox dumped their email onto Yahoo I have been unsuccessful with a seamless transfer to Yahoo email. It is a complete disaster. For a restart does anyone have any idea how to transfer collected email addresses. I have 200 on my email list.
