Ron:
Aren't the stepping switch sequences in the SC series wallboxes (newer models with built in speakers) incompatible with the 1962 & older 160-select jukes, in addition to the pricing-system differences you talked about?
I'm told the letter number step sequences differ in the newer SC wallboxes and aren't backwards compatible to the Q, AY, DS, etc machines. For his situation, Dennis would need to use a 1962 or older 160-play wallbox.
Also, when did Seeburg stop including the stepper-receiver as standard equipment on their jukes? Wasn't that a key selling point for them?
As I understand it, The SC wallboxes were intended to be used with the LPC-1 models going forward up until the end of Seeburg's mechanical keyboard jukes circa 1970. At that time they brought out their keypad microlog system. For a short time, I believe they offered a special interface that allowed operators to transition the SC (stepper-type) wallboxes with the newer digitally controlled microlog models.
