Great discussion on ebay and paypal. A point from me...
The problem that I have with ebay is the enormous fees that one has to cough
up at the end of each transaction. There is no doubt that ebay is getting
richer and richer because sellers continue to support ebay even though they
continue to boost the seller fees, transaction fees, final seller fees, etc, and
etc. It is sad to say, but the best example that I can use is that ebay is like
the divorce lawyer. The seller is like the divorced couple. After it is all
over, the goods are gone and there is very little to show for it. Let's face
it, many items, especially antiques, in this day and time are selling way
under value. To top it off, once the seller spends time packaging the item and
carting it up to the Post Office, it is obvious...The seller practically gave
the item away.
I have come to the conclusion that these so called 'self made' people that
have so called 'made it big' from ebay are like the people on the Home and
Garden Channel that have gotten rich 'flipping' houses. The very successful are
few and far between.
Thanks and good weekend to everyone!
